For some people, the process of taking words that flow readily enough from their mouths and transferring those same ideas to paper (or computer) is much more difficult that they expected. They find their natural conversational style becomes stilted and forced. Or, perhaps, just the opposite they find it difficult to translate their informal speech to more conservative business writing.

Even when you are a smooth and articulate writer, it can often be helpful to have someone else review and edit your work.
