Since working with clients is always a personal, customized process, there's no way to provide a "price list" for services. We find it is helpful, though, to give prospective clients a feel for how we might work together and what the fees might be so that they can get a sense of whether it is something they would be interested in talking about further. It's also helpful for small businesses – who know that the "big guys" at their $2,500 to $3,500 per day rate aren't a viable choice for them – to see that other options really do exist.
Our fees are structured around a base hourly rate of $95 per hour and, if appropriate, it is possible to hire us for a few hours here-and-there at that rate. We've worked with companies who wanted to do just that – have us available as an on-call resource for occasional phone coaching around a thorny issue, reviewing and editing written materials, and the like.
We are more likely, however, to work on either a project basis or an ongoing contract basis where a predetermined fee is established for a given body of work or chunk of time. Often, the underlying hourly rate for these contracted projects is reduced, according to the total time commitment and nature of the project. Projects might range from $1,500 to $7,500 for creation of a web site, for example, or development of a custom data base.
Or, clients might contract for a predetermined amount of time, such as one hour per week, or 5 days each month, either for business coaching or for ongoing services, such as developing and administering a customer service program. Since all clients get Arden's personal attention, generally she will not accept any one client for more than $5,000 per month, or approximately 1/2 time, in order to ensure that she has adequate time available to meet other client's needs.
Our work might be done on site at your business location, or here in our Maine office. For some clients we become, in effect, part of your staff. For others, we may never meet face-to-face, doing all work by phone and computer. It just depends on what you need, and how we can best serve you.
